We invite you to celebrate our 37th anniversary at the Double Tree Hotel in Bethesda, MD on November 7-9, 2013. The conference is notable for its in-depth focus on substance abuse education and the high quality of its workshops and presentations. The objectives of the AMERSA National Conference are to bring together researchers and health professional educators to learn about scientific advances and exemplary teaching approaches. AMERSA’s membership consists of a multidisciplinary audience, comprised of physicians, nurses, social workers, dentists, psychologists, public health practitioners, substance abuse specialists, physician assistants, and allied health professionals.

Located in downtown Bethesda, an upscale suburb 8 miles northwest of Washington, DC, the Double Tree Hotel is adjacent to National Institutes of Health and Bethesda Naval Hospital

Registration and Accommodations
A special rate of $165 per night for single or double occupancy is being offered. Reservations can be made by calling the Double Tree at 1-800-222-8733, or directly at 301-652-2000.. When making your reservations, indicate that you would like to reserve a room in the AMERSA block. A one night’s deposit is required with your room reservation. Check in time is 3 pm and check out time is noon. The deadline for hotel reservations is October 1st. After that time reservations will be accepted on a space and rate available basis. The hotel facilities, its guest rooms, common areas and its transportation services are in compliance with the public accommodation requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
